The Protection & Security Commission will operate as a national commission that offers a platform-based security service, connecting clients with trained, board-certified security professionals on an as-needed basis. 

With CEOs representing each province on the board, the commission will oversee training, vetting, and certification requirements. Our services will cater to diverse sectors, including corporate, residential, and event security, as well as personal protection services.

1. Standardize Security Training: Establish a national certification and training

program with consistent, board-approved requirements across provinces.

2. On-Demand Security Service: Develop a mobile platform where clients can

request real-time security services, similar to the Uber model.

3. Build a National Network: Recruit security professionals in each province,

vetted and trained under PSC’s rigorous standards.

4. Quality Assurance: Establish a quality control system with regular

assessments, feedback loops, and performance reviews.

5. Board Governance: Implement a board governance structure with provincial

CEOs, ensuring alignment with local laws and maintaining high standards across

all jurisdictions.

Basic Qualifications for Membership in the Protection and Security Commission (PSC):

1. Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the security, law enforcement, military, or risk management fields.

• Relevant leadership roles or specialized expertise in areas such as cyber security, physical security, or loss prevention are highly regarded.

2. Educational Background:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Additional certifications, diplomas, or degrees in criminal justice, security management, or related fields are preferred.

3. Certifications and Training:

• Possession of industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Security Supervisor (CSS), or equivalent) is advantageous.

• Completion of basic security training accredited by recognized organizations or institutions.

4. Background Check:

• Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check to ensure no history of disqualifying offenses.

• Verification of employment and professional references.

5. Code of Conduct Compliance:

• Agreement to uphold the PSC Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to public safety.

6. Commitment to Continuing Education:

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, training sessions, and workshops offered by the PSC.

7. Organizational Affiliation (Optional):

• Active membership or affiliation with a recognized security firm, government agency, or private entity may enhance eligibility.

8. Recommendation Letters (Optional):

• Submission of letters of recommendation from industry professionals, employers, or recognized PSC members is encouraged.
